Here's a white pill from the belly of the public school beast. We started the hybrid model last week which brings kids to school two days a week, so I have half the kids on Mon and Thurs and the other half on Tues and Fri. The other days are online.
If this becomes the new "thing" I'll have a max of 10 kids in each class. In most cases I have far fewer. This gives me a chance to actually TEACH, rather than crowd control. I get to build relationships, have class discussions, get them started on projects of their choosing and offer help to those who need it.
Another bonus is that with all the chaos no one is focused on high stakes testing. So I get to focus on learning for the joy of it!I can't speak for other teachers but I know this year is full of opportunity for anyone so inclined to take advantage.
I never thought we could get off the perennial hamster wheel, but here we are! I'm truly enjoying the fallout.
So are the Irish in Belfast going to take their city back or are they just letting off steam? Nothing seems to wake people up anymore. Not for long anyway.
So here's something for the conspiratorial among us. The judge that just imposed a gag order on the youtuber in the Lego scandal is also presiding over the Charlie Kirk murder trial, and the defendant's family also are members of the LDS church, the same as all the major players in the B&M Lego scandal.
