Just finished 150 pages (44k words) of the 2nd draft of the White Pill.
I have one difficult chapter after I finish this one and then the rest will be quite easy.
Had one of the hardest weekends of my veterinary career this past weekend. We were incredibly short staffed due to coworkers falling prey to the “fancy flu” which left me and a few others to hold down the fort. I lost one of my bebé kitten patients who came in severely anemic. CPR was effective but only for a short time and we had to let him go. For whatever reason, losing him hit me incredibly hard and I am still feeling the loss. He was a stray kitten that was only about 4 weeks old… but his life mattered and I feel incredibly heartbroken that I was unable to save him. Sometimes my job just sucks. Here is me tonight with one of my cats (Charlotte) who is doing a fantastic job of being awesome and healing a broken heart.💔
I made it through post op day 4 without much pain. My 'plumbing' started working again yesterday, so that's a good thing. I found that laying down multiple times a day (you know, recovering) takes pressure off the lower spine and muscles. I feel good when I get up. On my walks with Levi, I discovered that I need to relearn how to walk upright. I've been hunched over for so long that my posture is horrendous. That's all for now.
