peterson academy course drops tonight
Just found out that great uncle of mine, James Taylor, who worked as a chem technician on the Manhattan Project doing some of the earliest reactor work, was previously a driver for ranking Army staff/Generals and one of his details was driving Marlene Dietrich around to different commands on her USO tour, I believe the earlier 1944 Italy leg of her North Africa/Italy tour, but I don't know for certain it wasn't the Battle of the Bulge tour she did.
To her credit, Marlene did stay in tents on the front lines for many a night, and entered Germany with advancing Allied troops.
She was, in James' words, a "royal bitch", and he immediately asked when he found out my mom was dating a Dietrich whether there was any relation. There is none that I know of.
"Democratic Socialist" is the name Marxists give themselves when they are working in and among political systems where they do not hold power, yet.
Confiscate the capital, seize the means of production, control the price of labor is all you really need to know, the rest is just methodology window dressing on a core ethic of "I know better than you how to build prosperity." I think it's an inherently right-wing philosophy, the structures necessary for such control are rigid pyramids, and nothing about it empowers the individual. They do not, in truth, socialize power.
There is no such thing as socialized power in any ethical sense, all human decisions and economic will come from the mind of the human individual.
