New York is a state me and my family used to enjoy going to, to visit every year. Before I went to college in 2016 (big mistake) we’d go every summer for me and my sister’s birthday. But when I went to college in Washington state we stopped going. When Covid hit we had no reason to go because we saw how bad New York got.

Each year it just got increasingly worse and we haven’t back since 2016 that last summer.

Now with Mamdani winning any small chance of me and my family going for a visit is passed zero into the negatives.

From what I have heard there is no reason to go back and the places we would have liked to have gone have been since been gone.

Leave it to politics to ruin everything.
