seems to me if whatever narratives these assholes were selling had any value, they'd simply form their own newsgroup and publish

but to a one, they don't want to sell their skills in a marketplace of ideas

they all want to subsist remora-like on the excess cash of a billionaire

they want WaPo back, and they want to run it like a daycare for adults
