I'll be taking a social media break during Lent. I'm hoping to get through some books, embroidery, and perhaps a jump start on my garden given that more crocus have been spotted today.

If I start seeing UFO/alien headlines in the news I'll know the globohomo demons are truly threatened and desperate, though I will miss you guys and the memes should that happen.

In the meantime, a quote from Tolkien/LOTR, which I'm currently rereading as my kids read for the first time:
"He is in great fear, not knowing what mighty one may suddenly appear, wielding the Ring, and assailing him with war, seeking to cast him down and take his place. That we should wish to cast him down and have no one in his place is not a thought that occurs to his mind. That we should try to destroy the Ring itself has not yet entered into his darkest dream."
