I'm avoiding outside today due to the pollen hittin' me hard this year. Thankfully I came across this amazing article about a man who recorded thousands of 90s-2010s concerts and has shared them on the Internet Archive!
"The decades-deep collection spans the 1980s through the early 2000s and features indie and punk rock performances from bands like The Replacements, The Pixies, Depeche Mode, Sonic Youth, R.E.M., Björk and Stereolab, in many cases long before they became mainstream."
Is there anything worse than having to go the Post office and wait in line to just pick up a package and hear the Boomer in front of you hemming and hawing about what types of stamps they wanna buy?
It's like if there is anything where there is no choice, postage stamps should be it..at least in person at the PO. Order that shit online, bitch!
And to make matters worse, the employee at the chronically understaffed PO whips out a book of all the types like it's a personalized license plate. It's like, I gotta get back to work ..I don't have all day and no purpose in life to do shit like that. And to the employee, don't encourage that bullshit, dawg!
Hell really hath no depths lower than being stuck in a post office line, except for perhaps the post office.
Someone called the police this afternoon on my 10 yo son while he solo walked to the library. I guess they wondered if he escaped from the nearby elementary school? The police didn't care - just confirmed he was home schooled, checked the box on their paperwork, and moved on.
Several months ago I shared in here that several people stopped him during a similar solo trip to the library concerned for his welfare. It's half a mile from our house, in the suburbs. Good grief.
