A hacker ran me over with a robot lawn mower
Forget robovacs — Yarbo’s bladed robots are an even bigger security nightmare.
IMO The Boys went from red pilled to blue pilled in season 4 when Seth Rogan became one of the producers. Before it was “let’s apply the idea of ‘power corrupts’ to super powers,” and now it’s “the bad guys are fascists like trump and the rebels are the good guys like AOC.” I’ll eventually start watching the new season but I’m not excited about it.
I watched a free movie on YouTube last week
Point Blank, 1967
It's back to pay for it now
Never heard of it before I watched it (caveat here)
Awesome, loved it
Very stylized, almost experimental. Some may say it's Nior or Neo Noir.
Lee Marvin is perfect, he has a charisma that is not in movies today. Charisma for a psychopath, that is
It's directed by John Boorman. Yup, Zardoz, Emerald Forest, Excalibur, and Deliverance John Boorman.
And it has young Police Woman Angie Dickenson nekkid innit too. She is awesome in it.
I can see at least two great 90s movies, one a direct redo of it or it's book, and another inspired by it. Can you guess which, or know which?
[No jippity or grokking]
I've been following these guys for a bit (one is an Oxford professor who's focused on evidence based medicine, the other was the lead on the Cochrane Review that essentially said masks are worthless for respiratory viruses) and this recent post of theirs is just example # 2,395,754 of why corporate media (and even a fair bit of the "alternative media" ) is just garbage made to scare the shit out of you.
