I agree with Jonathan Pageau that a lot of boomers think disclosure will happen and the aliens are good and want to help us. I tend to think it makes no sense and much of people's claims about aliens are manufactured, drug/illness induced illusions or straight up demonic tricks. Spielberg is too influential to not be in bed with some part of the government to keep this fantasy alive.
