Anyone planning ahead and going big this year for July 4?

I've got family coming into town, as per usual. My SIL wants to do themed food after reading something online but it was super cheesy like drinking tea to honor the Boston tea party or eat a pretzel for the salty tears of the Revolutionary war soldiers.

And I'm thinking if we eat food it should be an obscene amount of bbq, and should be paired with some awesome fireworks. I'm going to splurge on the bigger stuff from the local fireworks stand. I also bought 250 mini American flags to line our yard and driveway. I can't help but think, in the spirit of 'Murica and 250 years, I should be doing even more. Give me some ideas. 🇺🇸
