If we leave any food out unattended our dog Luna will eat it. She's also a giant coward and we love her despite her flaws. I was warning my son to keep his door closed if he leaves the leftover pizza in his room:
"because she will eat it. It's how she gets back at you for being mean to her. It's her only means of retribution, it's how she gets her revenge, she uses her appetite. Which is BOUNDLESS"
He's six, and I was cracking myself up.
Also, since it's Caturday, here's a recent one of our Siamese cat Sparkles.
Like most friday episodes, this went off the rails in the best way
Just finished an awesome family vacation camping and hiking on the outskirts of Colorado Springs. I think this might be my new go-to Colorado destination, as it's a reasonable one day drive from KC and has so much to do.
We camped at Mueller State Park with great star gazing including views of the Milky Way. Took the kids on some great hikes as well as more relaxed activities like the zoo and a dinosaur museum.
But by far, the highlight was yesterday when my husband and I left the kids back and hiked to the Pikes Peak summit. Wow! I would do that hike again just for the views, but would probably take a shuttle back down as the steep descent was brutal on tired legs/knees.
