The predictability: If you'd have told me last week Netflix was doing The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with Greta Gerwig, I'd have immediately responded, "They're going to make Aslan a woman."

They will not let an allegory to Christ stand, not when it's one of the most important fictional literary works in the Western canon. It means too much to the culture they despise to allow even the profit motive to dictate their decision-making, which is why I think their credit is being manipulated by bad actors.

That it will fail is a given, anyone with two brain cells can see it coming.
