When I was a kid, I had this idea of having a case or album filled with unusual but pleasant scents. That one would sniff during some interesting experience.
A wedding. An awesome vacation with a beautiful woman. The birth of a child. Whatever one thought was important.
Then store the scents back in the case. Then at some later and future date, one would take the scent out and smell it. And like a photograph in a photo album, the memory of the experience would flood back for the user.
The image of these scents in vials reminded me of that "invention"
I also thought that a hand held squeezer for cans of tuna fish, to drain out the juice or oil, would be awesome. Called the the "Fish Squish". Still could use that invention
Very interested in hearing from you all if you would like to see more debates on the podcast instead of just interviews
No CIA psyop can delete the Buccee's brisket and no NGO can dismiss the Wawa Italian from reality. No politics will make our Philly cheesesteaks go away, or stop the crawfish boiling in Shreveport, or the beef hot dogs in Chicago or the BBQ in Dallas.
There will be Chili in Cincinnati, sweet corn in Iowa, beef spare ribs in Montana, and burritos in California. The Grand Canyon will abide where it has for millennia, the Mississippi will remain Mighty, and Yellowstone, stunning.
Our various stadium facilities will still blow their minds (btw the wave was invented in the US in the 70's, not Mexico in the 80's, that thing the Norwegians do is just a derivative), our cars will remain luxurious and our bedrooms, air-conditioned.
FreddyLA7 is a Dumbo feather: He may feel like magic, but America soars just fine without him.
@Malice Didn’t listen through the debate on YW again, but I was struck by the early mention of the Maduro raid.
In light of the earthquakes, can you imagine what a shitshow it’d be if Maduro was still in charge, and humanitarian efforts from the evil countries weren’t there?
The local news stations have been covering what the Fairfax County rescuers have been doing on the ground.
(Someone also torched their training facility while they’re deployed. It’s been a chorus of crickets after the day it happened. “Kids.” But I have a sneaking suspicion it was the same folks who torched the ICE/FBI/GBI facility in Metro Atlanta earlier this year….)
