I was listening to Moon Zappa (Frank's daughter)'s audiobook and this passage amused me.
First, it is hilarious: "how is she popular with a mole that big? Nothing in this world makes sense!" Her mother was the devil and I completely get her low self esteem being converted into thinking she was ugly even though she was a pretty teenager.
Second: this reminds me of Drea de Matteo and particularly Harvey Pekar's drama about being well known and not having money. Malice has mentioned a few times that people think that if someone is on TV then they must be rich.
Third: have I mentioned this is hilarious? I can totally see an entitled teenage valley girl type saying "Wow! That's the richest you can be" in the most affected way possible.
