I don’t know what made me think about this a few months ago. The laces on the shoes I normally wear to walk the dog are unlike any I’ve ever seen before.

They do seem to lose the knit kinda easily, but if I double-knot them, they’re normally fine.

But I can’t remember the last time broke a lace. I admit my use is basically a home-bound cripple, but…..
