So, I don't post often. But I thought I'd share a little example.
I'm an engineer, I never went to school for engineering (I have multiple degrees just none in my field of work). I got promoted by shear luck, or skill, whatever. The point being I worked my way from working on machines to designing extremely complex industrial processes.
Our Dear Leader posted recently about hoe_math and how different levels of thinking can't really communicate effectively.
And honestly this hits close to truth. There is a reason we have engineering level meeting, technician level, operator, exec.
I've seen entire engineering 10min conversations get derailed for an hour because an engineer and a technician are using the same words to mean two different things.
I'm not sure everyone views it the same way at where I work. But I can honestly tell you that it's obvious that there is a stratification.
