Self checkouts have come along way, now they need to replace poll workers. My friend’s experience voting last night:

If the Republicans scratch their heads today struggling with the notion as to why they got smoked in the elections, I'd be happy to explain why to them (but sadly they don't want to hear it). It's something that has been growing with me for 18 years with the GOP. Something so obvious but they don't (and won't get it). Enjoy your L's Republicans. (And no I'm not happy the Democrats won seats, but at this point I don't give a shit anymore.)

When I got my masters degree last year at the age of 57, I foolishly thought my company would want to promote me since they paid for my education. But I was very wrong. They don’t GAF. Most jobs that look interesting to me, require me to relocate. But we’re not doing that. Right now we’re doing everything and we can to keep the house that we built. We raised four children here. We have two cats buried in the back And plans to bury our two dogs and our other cat eventually back there. I don’t have a home that I grew up and that I get to go visit. I’m not complaining it’s just what it is. We planted all the trees on our property. Heck, we even grew the grass as it was all mud when we moved here. So my plan is to just focus on what I really wanna do in life. Which is to enjoy it.
