Before Renee Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent, I had been hearing about people using vehicles to brake-check and otherwise harass ICE agents. I thought at the time it was a purposeful attempt to create conditions necessary for martyrs: Get people beaten, tear-gassed, dragged out of their cars, shot, and otherwise victimized by the Feds for the cameras.
In the days leading up to the shooting and esp immediately after, you could see attempts by the crowds to front elderly and young children, escorting them to the fore in areas where the most agitation was taking place.
What interests me about the lawsuits is the discovery process: It could backfire for the left, records pertaining to Renee's or her friend's involvement and communications with NGOs telling protesters to employ violence-seeking tactics may very well come up in trial.
