Belated #caturday
Been trying to get Something done; after a lot of 'amusing annecdotes'...
I am now the Executive Chef at a 'boutique' (hate that old marketing) Italian restaurant in Xfield, CT.
Almost too good to be true, but not. Wonderful owners, open to change. Somegreat staff, FIRED someone this morning :) Been a pretty good start so far.
Employment wise:(former) Ralais & Cháteaux, AMAN ((Luxury + ( Russian Oligarch owned)) , Michelin trained ...also used to work for $80 a shift and a $50 bartab. I have accumulated 30yrs of Culinary excellence ;)
I was hired to bring them to the 'next level;' it's my nerd gift - weaponization of my autism. Took years to get to this point, for Me.
+Missed most of you lovely fucks ;) MY peepos.

OFF Mon/Tues
So my Dad got a chochlear implant and had it turned on a few weeks ago. Apparently, what you perceive with an implant like this doesn't feel like sound at first, you have to train in order to process the output of it as hearing. Dad described the sound of the turn signal in the car (he hadn't heard it in years) as something he couldn't figure out. He said it wasn't that he couldn't logically figure out the noise a turn signal made, it was that his brain had a hard time locking on to the sensation as being a sound at all.
It freaks me out we're to this point, but Elon is doing this with eyes rn, so I guess technology isn't going to stop.
