I shredded last night's pot roast, threw in some onions, bacon, sausage, beans, fire roasted tomatoes, green chile 🌶️ 🌶️ and V8. Later we're having chili on this cold winter day.
ps. Keep your anti-bean comments to yourself, you racist beanerphobics!
I’m using this snowed-in opportunity to make (Italian) things. First up is limoncello. It’ll be ready in about 3 weeks. It’s my first time making it, though I’ve seen my dad do it a few times. My local store had Meyer lemons and regular organic lemons. I kept them separated to see if there’s a difference.
Also pictured is some focaccia dough that’ll be ready tomorrow.
I hope everyone affected by the storms are staying safe and warm today.
Our forecast has been upped to 6-12 inches of snow from 3-6. Every activity I had planned got cancelled, so I'm spending the day working on my "grandma hobby" (a gift for someone) in-between shoveling snow. Did you know The Science shows people who do grandma hobbies live longer? Anti-aging gurus like Bryan Johnson are really overthinking the whole thing. Between this and all the coffee I drink, I should be set. 🤞
