The "nothing to see here" Epstein crowd is more delusional than flat Earthers and I find it almost impossible to believe it's being done in good faith. There isn't a signed confession from anyone in the released files (limited and redacted as they are) but to completely dismiss every bizarre email and coincidental relationship is midwittery. It also makes ol Jeff seem like kind of a drama queen to fashion a prison noose if there wasn't anything that scandalous going on. Deductive reasoning isn't as reliable as empirical evidence, but it sure helps to avoid coming across as a helpless retard that's perpetually shocked by everything.
I'll be taking a social media break during Lent. I'm hoping to get through some books, embroidery, and perhaps a jump start on my garden given that more crocus have been spotted today.
If I start seeing UFO/alien headlines in the news I'll know the globohomo demons are truly threatened and desperate, though I will miss you guys and the memes should that happen.
In the meantime, a quote from Tolkien/LOTR, which I'm currently rereading as my kids read for the first time:
"He is in great fear, not knowing what mighty one may suddenly appear, wielding the Ring, and assailing him with war, seeking to cast him down and take his place. That we should wish to cast him down and have no one in his place is not a thought that occurs to his mind. That we should try to destroy the Ring itself has not yet entered into his darkest dream."
See you on the flip side. ♥️
