Got some bad news the other night that shook me, a close friend is experiencing his marriage coming apart via infidelity (hers).

They're both middle-aged, and both lawyers. When they married, he was an engineer for that chemical company you know, but he got his law degree early on and works wills and trusts for a large firm in a big city (TLDR: High IQ, high earnings potential). She's in corporate law, I believe focused on trademarks. At one point, she made more than him, and I think that's significant, but upon her ask a decade and change into the career, and my buddy was working 7 days a week and became the major breadwinner, pulling home salary closer to the mid-six-figures than the lower end.
