I officially joined the Catholic Church last week on the Easter Vigil. It was a 3 hour marathon service, beautiful from start to finish full of beauty and reverence with Christ, candles, incense, and Handel's Hallelujah chorus.
I made these embroidered rosary pouches as gifts for my OCIA table - one of several Lent projects while I abstained from social media. Last year my diocese had a record number of people join the church and this year we doubled it, with 67 from my parish alone.
I've read multiple articles wondering if we are in a Catholic or Christian revival. I'm not sure if there are ultimately more people joining than who are leaving and dying, but as everyone in this group probably knows you don't need a majority to impact change and it does feel like there is change in the air.
