My cousins new barn cat. The neighbors found it and no one thought she would make it through the week, but she did! So sweet and lovable; her face is healing nicely.
I recently moved back to Australia, due to personal reasons, having lived in Texas for 6 years.
Almost every conversation I have now is, “You lived in America, did you leave because of Trump?”.
I’d be fine with it if it they were just joking or trolling, but they’re being dead serious. They then proceed to give their opinions on how he is a “racist, rapist, felon” etc.
I’m pretty good at just ignoring it, but I have some close friends who voted Trump so when they start attacking all Trump supporters as being racist or uneducated I do feel the need to say something back on their behalf.
Everyone here is just shitlib/npc types, but it’s a tough thing to have to keep answering without sounding full MAGA.
Does anyone have any tips, or fun ways I can respond?
Side note: the media’s coverage of Trump in Australia makes CNN look like Fox News.
